The IMA Paddle has that mystery that often surrounds the stickbait, how do I work it, what is its movement? Let's try to find out
The first thing that comes to mind is "slowly", that's right, there's no rush here, the IMA Paddle is sinking, but don't think that once it's in the water it plunges like a stone. It gives you time to tighten the line and start to bring it to life with a solemn rotation of the handle, the kind that works like a good meditation.
The IMA Paddle will move zigzagging smoothly, with that oscillation they call slalom, but in its case very subtle, just like a needlefish that you don't quite know if it's wiggling because of the current or because of some imperceptible movements of the tail. That's right, if you look at the video you can see just that comparison between the lure and the live fish it is trying to reproduce, successfully we would say, and I'm sure the sea bass think the same.
The Japs get a lot of use out of this type of hard bait in the rivers, day and night, alwasy in current areas and here we have similar environments, but don't tell me you don't feel like giving it a wiggle on a beach, especially when there is that lateral current that moves sideways the IMA Paddle while you are retrieving it.
