ZBL Slide Swim Minnow by Zipbaits
We really like the ZBL Slide Swim Minnow by Zipbaits, and it comes in two versions that can be used in very different ways.
The lighter, 13.5g sinking version can be worked just below the surface or, if we hold the rod up a little, directly at the water's surface. It's a simple lure to use, in fact it's enough to turn the crank because the rest does the rest on its own. It's an S-drawer, they call them slalom lures, because they actually snake like a skier down a slope. The calm look is gone as soon as we start to wiggle it faster, then it's just pitching from right to left in a more erratic motion.
The ZBL Slide Swim Minnow by Zipbaits called MDS, the 18.5g model, is in a different league. We are going to miss it when we want to reach considerable distances, fish deeper or take advantage of the weight to use it in drifting, for example, in areas of current such as an estuary, or on a shore with strong tides and lateral pulls.
As far as we can see, this type of lure for sea bass fishing from the shore is finding more and more followers in our waters. The ZBL Slide Swim Minnow by Zipbaits fits perfectly with the exploration of difficult shores and areas that we can't work successfully with bib or surface lures.
