Decoy's Zero Dan rig allows us to use soft plastics in a very special way.
The Zero Dan gives you the oportunity to quickly lower the softie to the bottom without losing sensitivity and action. By having lead and hook separate and held together by a swivel both retain complete freedom.
This type of rig is principally effective when fishing for predators fish that live and hunt very near the bottom, to which the noise of the lead hitting the rocks can be of some interest, and come out of curiosity.
Because of its design, the bait can be worked for long on the same spot, especially if we are fishing from an elevated position on a cliff, drop or from a boat. With small movements of the rod tip we can give life to the lure without taking it away from the right place.
We recommend the Zero Dan first of all with the Virago, since it has an air cavity in the belly will remain in a very natural position even when the weight is touching the bottom. It's certainly a rig that will also give us a lot of satisfaction with the RA Shad. (The soft plastics you see in the images are not included).
A little trick that can come in handy in certain circumstances. If you need to use the Zero Dan and the weight is too much just smooth it or cut a piece off until you reach the desired one.
