Apparently with the Varuna by O.S.P. designers have been listening to the prayers of fans around the world and finally managed to get the jerkbait that was missing in the collection.
The Varuna is positioned between the Asura and Rudra two stellar lures of the Japanese brand and fills a very important gap, the 11cm gap, perhaps one of the most popular sizes among black bass fishermen.
Since we have named the black bass we would like to remember that the Varuna by O.S.P. is not intended and exclusively focused on this predator, but covers a large number of freshwater and saltwater species. We doubt that there is a serious sea bass fisherman who does not want to give it a chance, or pike, zander barracuda and dolphinfish fisherman for that matter.
Following the tradition of the O.S.P. jerkbait, the Varuna keeps the flat body and the distribution of mobile weights that facilitate the cast while keeping the center of gravity low for improved balance. At the same time they are in charge of the sound, very characteristic element of OSP lures.
Finally, without being a real finesse bait, the Varuna is used in situations in which there are aggressive fish but a tad too wary, or when we need to reach a little further without a too big of a lure.
