Owner ST76 rated 5X strong tropical treble hooks

Due to such a high demand, Owner has finally released the new super extra strong treble hooks, the ST76.

One step above the already reliable ST sixty six, these treble are designed for those guys fishing with strong braids and very high drag settings, in fact the ST76 are rated 5X, one step up compared to the next model. We should use these treble when we carry very heavy equipments and when we have a proper hook setting technique, in fact, due to the thicker diameter of the steel, they need a more powerful slam. Best match is with braids rated PE6 or above, heavy drag settings and stiff rods.

Size 3/0 and 4/0 can be used for our "normal" poppers and stickbaits, while the 5/0 is more suited for lures over 20cm and with a very thick body. The ST76 come with barbs but we recommend to crush them for a better release of the fish. In order to reduce the oxidation, once squeezed the barb you can paint it with a permanent marker. Make sure you use extra heavy split rings, at least 220lb and be careful when you rig the hooks, if you open the split ring too much it could damage and weaken.
