Ranger 2 1/3oz by Roberts lures, insane skipping lure

The Ranger 2 1/4oz by Roberts Lures is one of the oldest lures of this series and is probably the most versatile.

It casts extremely well, swims great and most of all, it raise fish like no other lure we know. I think I have caught fish all over the world on it, from Bluefish and Leerfish in the Med to Sailfish in the Pacific and Jacks and Trevally in the Carribean and Indian ocean. It always has a space in my tackle box and is very much likely to be the first lure that I cast. Work it slow if you will but if you really want to catch fish, speed up and hold on tight. Remember, when you see the fish strike don't set the hook, you will probably miss it. Wait until you feel the weight of the critter and then jerk strong.

Changing the hook (for a wider and sharper single hook) might improve your hook up ratio. I wouldn't use trebles, they might hurt the action.
