Designed for inshore fishing the Pirates jig offers a unique head weight design featuring two eyelets, the one on front is recommended for fast vertical jigging and the one in the middle delivers a wobbling action when retrieved slowly, a jig with many different applications.
Use the front eyelet and a fast retrieve for bluefish, amberjack and tuna and the middle one for bottom and reef species like snapper, grouper, dentex, porgy etc. The Pirate incorporates a free swinging “squid” skirt with twin assist heavy duty jig hooks, a very important piece of the tool, the one that delivers the lifelike action. The squid skirt can be changed by removing the assist hooks and sliding over a new one.
