The Vanfook DT55 treble hooks are quite robust but do not weight so much as equivalent kind of hooks.
The main reason why even though they are made of a thicker steel, their weight, hence the weight of the lure, isn’t so much altered, is because the length of the shank is a bit shorter than usual.
The manufacturing process of these hooks is very interesting, in fact they are being built from a thicker steel bar in order to withhold the overall strength and a point capable of the maximum penetration.
The DT55 are qualified as “Heavy Wire”, that is, heavy duty applications yet not extreme. We recommend them for large fish and even a medium tropical fishing.
